Patriotism

Patriotism word is derived from the Latin word “patriota” which means countryman. Patriotism means love for one’s country or homeland. Patriotism is essentially the feeling of love, a greater attachment to the homeland. These feelings of nationalism are indeed natural in all human beings. Patriotism is very important in life.

“Patriotism is the greatest feeling of Nationalism.”

A patriot always keeps the interest of his land a priority. The culture, tradition, sovereignty, and honor of a country are the most important things in the eyes of a patriot.

Devotion to the MotherLand:

Patriotism is in fact devotion to one’s land. It is the most divine and sacred spirit. It is the fundamental force behind the development and success of the nation. The nation can only be successful if it has a spirit of patriotism in its individuals. Patriotism makes you do wonders. History is full of incidents as the nation has grown together for the sake of its land. Patriotism demands that you try to work for the good of your country.

“Live for Nation. Die for Nation”

This is very important for development and success. When each person works for the betterment of the land, only then will the nation make its way in the world.
Patriotism is a much-needed spirit in times of distress. Every nation or country faces unpleasant conditions such as war, drought, famine, or floods. Showing real feelings of patriotism at this time is essential. You have to be ready to do anything to save your land.

“A person who lacks patriotism is in fact dead inside.”

Examples of Heros in our History:

There are several examples of our heroes who are true patriots. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is the true example of Patriotism. He spends all his life serving Muslims and giving them a prosperous Land. Quaid-e-Azam was a Nation Builder and a great Patriot. He wanted to protect the culture, values, and traditions of Muslims of the subcontinent. He said:

“We must develop a sense of Patriotism which galvanizes us all into one united and strong nation”

The spirit of Patriotism makes us stay alert in the wake of foreign invasions. In the wars of 1965, 1971, and the Kargil war, many brave soldiers gave their lives to save their country and homeland. Captain Muhammad Sarwar, Major Tufail Muhammad, Major Aziz Bhatti, Captain Karnal Sher Khan, and Havaldar Lalak Jan – all embraced martyrdom, while fighting bravely for their motherland and country.

Importance of the spirit of patriotism

Patriotism is a force that drives the citizens of the country to work for its development. She makes one think of her country before thinking of himself.

The spirit of patriotism transmits a sense of responsibility to the inhabitants of a country. They learn to live in harmony with each other and do everything possible to keep the peace of their land.
They think about their country’s progress and take revolutionary steps to help their country build a glorious future. A true patriot is proud of his country and has great affection for his land. The future of the country depends on its youth. If the youth are in a good mood and all the young people of the country are true patriots, the progress of the country is guaranteed. Patriotism creates a strong bond between compatriots and allows them to live an intentional life. Patriotism is the secret of a nation’s success.
