The HEC through its educational testing council (ETC) will conduct USAT for admissions at the undergraduate level in public and private universities in Pakistan. USAT is set on the pattern of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and covers all the disciplines of Engineer, Medicine, IT, Management and Arts & Humanities at the undergraduate entry level. The students after qualifying respective USAT would stand eligible for all public and private universities in Pakistan.

Eligibility for Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT 2022):
- HSSC/Grade 12 Graduates/Students who have completed Higher Secondary School Certificate.
- Students who have taken final exams and are awaiting results.
- Year 12/All students who have received equivalent education.
Section 1
- Number of questions (75 MCQs) / 75 marks
- Time allowed 100 minutes
Section 2
- Essay writing skills 400-500 words (either in English or Urdu): / 25 marks
- Time allowed 40 minutes
It is considered a qualifying USAT score if it exceeds 50. A perfect score of 100 would be the highest anyone could score on USAT.
